MTG x TMNT: Main Set Reveals

Before we get into all the various unique products and collections available, let’s take a look at the full lineup from the main Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set unveiled by the developers. Standard booster packs for the set are set at $6.99 per pack, while Collector Boosters are priced at $37.99 per booster.

Let's unpack a few surprising features. To begin, there's a new mechanic called Sneak, which is a riff on the pre-existing Ninjutsu, in which players can play big creatures onto the battlefield whenever an attacker isn’t blocked. The key change in this case is that this new ability can apply to spells that aren’t creatures as well. The designers also used this chance to clean up the mechanic a bit (It is treated as playing a spell, unlike Ninjutsu). The original ability isn't going away, but it's more likely players will encounter the new mechanic in future sets from now on.

Should we go back to Kamigawa, it’s possible we’d use Ninjutsu since that's where it originated and it is iconic to that,” an experienced designer stated. “But on other planes, since the rules are cleaner and the new ability is what's going to be Standard-legal, it's more likely we’ll use the updated version.”

Another version of the leader Turtle, Sewer Samurai, is among four special cards with special art designed exclusively for the set by TMNT co-creator the co-creator.

Additionally, should you be surprised by the rules text on Turtles Forever, which allows playing game cards outside of your deck, so was I. But as per Wizards, that's now a legal card in all formats of Magic.

Anyway, here are the extremely bizarre full-art lands from the TMNT set:

As per the company’s existing guidelines, these cards are fully legal in Magic’s Standard format. The designers state they took care to ensure the cards and gameplay elements worked smoothly with current Standard expansions like Edge of Eternities.

“I headed the development for 15 months and we were aware it would be Standard-legal and what other sets would be near it in Standard,” a lead designer commented. “Our goal was to make sure that they work well with some of those sets including Edge of Eternities.”

As an instance, both TMNT and Edge of Eternities feature a Izzet strategy built around artifacts.

“They mesh together to offer the components for a fun Standard-legal deck,” the designer says.

Preconstructed Commander: Turtle Power!

Following a decision to create any Commander precons for the Spider-Man set and the forthcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender collaborations, the company is changing direction with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This time it’s just one precon, but it includes six distinct legendary creatures who could work as your commander depending on how you combine them (five of the cards have a special partner ability called “Character Select” that lets you start with two of them in the command zone instead of only one). Check them out for yourself:

The Turtle Power precon is set at $69.99, though that could easily go up based on demand. Sources indicated that it contains 43 new cards in total, which means an extra thirty-seven TMNT-themed cards in addition to the six legendary commanders pictured earlier. (Calculating roughly, this suggests approximately 20 reprinted cards if we assume the precon includes 37 lands.)

What will the TMNT edition of the iconic Sol Ring look like? Fans must wait and see.

TMNT Bundle (Regular)

As per usual, Wizards is offering a collection. It costs $69.99 and contains the listed items:

  • Nine Play Boosters
  • 15 Foil basic lands
  • 15 Non-foil basic lands
  • Two Reference cards
  • 1 Traditional foil promotional card
  • 1 Large spindown life counter
  • 1 storage box

Pizza Bundle

Here’s a unique concept for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration, primarily because it comes in a box resembling a pizza delivery box. Each pizza-themed bundle costs $99.99 and comes with the following:

  • 9 Play Boosters
  • 1 Premium Booster
  • 25 Regular pizza-themed lands
  • Five Foil pizza basic lands
  • 2 Traditional foil pizza bundle promotional cards
  • 2 helper cards
  • 1 Oversized life tracker
  • One storage box

If you’re wondering what a “pizza bundle promo” is, it’s essentially a reprint of an older card with brand-new TMNT art. The team revealed one for the popular Magic card Dark Ritual depicting master Splinter adding black licorice pieces onto a pizza. There are six different Pizza Bundle promo cards available.

The Pizza Bundle releases a few weeks after the main set on March 27, 2026.

Draft Night

This unique product is made for a four-person draft and costs $119.99. That will get you:

  • Twelve Standard Boosters (ideal for a group of four to draft)
  • 1 Premium Booster (also known as, the reward for winning)
  • Ninety Regular land cards (to build your draft deck)
  • Ten Regular double-sided tokens
  • 1 drafting guide (a single-page instruction sheet to drafting this expansion)

Cooperative Play Set

Finally, the developers are doing something new with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as part of its ongoing effort to develop Magic products aimed at beginners. In this case, Turtle Team-Up is a unique product of prebuilt decks that let you and a friend join forces against a “Boss” enemy deck that pilots itself.

The general idea is that each Boss card grants unique powers to the creatures contained in the Boss deck. The Boss automatically casts an additional card each turn, and you’ll start off battling {one Boss|
